Why Marlboro families cross into Middlesex County.
Marlboro parents are used to choice: travel clubs, town programs, private trainers. What brings some of them north to Gioca is a combination they rarely find in one place, a small-group soccer academy with a genuine competitive pathway and coaches who can tell you exactly what your child worked on this week.
Route 18 north takes you most of the way, so Dailey’s Pond Recreation Area in South River is about 25 minutes from most of Marlboro. Training is on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings: 5:30 PM for younger birth years and 7:00 PM for older players, finishing by 8:30 PM.
Zane and Julian Taha founded Gioca and lead its sessions. Players train in birth-year groups from U7 to U18, compete in EDP and NJYS-certified leagues, and build confidence and composure through mental performance coaching alongside technique. The training programs page shows how each week fits together.
