New Jersey has no shortage of soccer clubs. What is rare is a soccer academy where the group is small enough for the coach to know each child, where technical training and mental performance are taught together, and where a first session costs nothing. That is the academy Zane and Julian Taha built in South River.
Gioca trains at Dailey’s Pond Recreation Area in Middlesex County on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Players are grouped by birth year from U7 to U18, teams compete in EDP and NJYS-certified leagues, and the Summer Training Academy welcomes players aged 5 to 13.
Families join us from across Central Jersey: Sayreville, Parlin, Old Bridge, South Amboy, Perth Amboy, East Brunswick, North Brunswick and as far as Rahway. Wherever you start from, the coaching is the same: personal, demanding and kind.
