Why Freehold families look beyond the nearest field.
Freehold Borough and Freehold Township have plenty of soccer close to home. Families who drive to Gioca usually do so for one reason: their child needs more individual coaching than a large program can give, and they want a coach who will tell them honestly how their player is developing.
Dailey’s Pond Recreation Area in South River is about 30 minutes from Freehold via Route 9 north, or Route 537 and Route 18. Sessions run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with younger birth years from 5:30 to 7:00 PM and older players from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
At Gioca, groups stay small so Coach Zane and Coach Julian can correct technique, sharpen decisions and build confidence player by player. Teams from U7 to U18 compete in EDP and NJYS-certified leagues, and the Summer Training Academy welcomes ages 5 to 13. The training programs page explains the weekly plan.

Every new player trains once with us at no cost, so you can judge the coaching before you commit.

Your child trains a normal evening with their birth-year group, in small numbers, and you have time afterwards to ask the coach questions. The first session costs nothing.
